Other round cod: Is a fish which does not meet the standards of prome or second grade. is sorted in lengths 20/40 -

Split or Rotskjær: is gutted, decapitated and cut along the spine but still joined together at the tail. The criteria are as for Prime and secondary stock fish.

Saithe: Large quantities of saith, also known as coalfish or pollack, are dried. Important markets are Nigeria, Switzerland and the USA. It has lengts of 20/40 - 30/50 - 50/70 and 70/+ cm.

Haddock: Some Haddock is dried in Norway. Important markets are Nigeria, Switzerland and the USA. Haddock is sorted in lengts of 20/40 - 30/50 - 50/70 and 70/+ cm.

Tusk: Some tusk is dried in Norway. The latin name is Brosme. Nigeria is the major market for stockfish from tusk. Lengts of 20/40 - 30/50 - 50/70 and 70/+ cm.

Artificially dried fillets. Fillets are fish portions obtained by gutting, heading, cutting the fish along the dorsal fin and removing the spine. Fillets for drying normally have the cranium and neck bones removed together with fins and any bones attached thereto.

Drying is carried out in drying tunnels using hot air.

Dried fillets are usually produced from Ling, although some Saithe and Cod is used. These fillets are sorted in lengte of -/50 cm - 50/60 cm - 60/70 cm and 70/+ cm.
